Organizing your living space might seem like the latest trend, but make no mistake, home organization has always been a topic of concern!

You may be looking at this and wondering if it really works...and if it does can it really work for you with your busy schedule? Quite possibly!

According to one clutter busting expert one of the better ways to go about it is also a way to have fun and maybe even make new friends. The suggestion is instead of tackling those closets yourself, start a circle with a few truly close friends, put a schedule together that includes each home and everybody pitches in. Schedule get togethers with 3-4 friends over the next 3-4 weeks and then everybody ends up with organized closets!

You put your life on hold a few days, tackle every one of those problem areas in your home and now they are organized to the maximum.

After that - THEN WHAT?!? Life happens every day so how to stay organized? Those areas got so disorganized in the first place because life gets running at full steam and there doesn’t seem to be enough time for all of it.
This is where some good old fashioned tricks come in handy. Old time ways of STAYING organized learned from generations of Grandma’s!

Once a week pick one of those spots you spent all that time and energy organizing and give it a once over. If you are like most busy people, after a week or two or even three, things won’t be too bad or overwhelming. Less than 5 minutes should be enough.

- that junk drawer will only have 30 seconds worth of junk to be dealt with
- the hall closet will barely need de-cluttering
- Give each bath a quick once over before settling down for the night and the gunky bathroom funk won’t even appear, never mind build up
- One day a week wipe down the inside of the fridge and dump the stockpiles of leftovers no one finished off

It’s all the same basics that our own grandmothers followed – they just had all day to get it accomplished and we’re trying to get it done in minutes! In the course of listing and selling homes in the local area I come across all types of tips and tricks. *Subscribe to the posts* and enjoy clutter free information anytime!
